Let's Mix it Up

I have been very bad about blogging lately. Part of this is due to how busy we have been lately, with kid activities, house cleaning, and Chadd being out of town on business. But, the bigger part of this has been due to my lack of motivation when it comes to my blog because I feel that it just is not what I want my blog to be about. Sure, I love my children, I absolutely adore them and want to tell the world how wonderful I think that they are, but I often wonder how many people actually care about my kids' crazy antics? How many people actually want to read an entire daily blog about my three kids and that alone? I know all of my mommy friends who read my blog and have young kids like me actually do care and do want to read these things(thank you all for that), but what about the ones that have no kids? How much potty training, discipline talk, and goo goo ga ga can they take?

So, I am going to try to mix things up a little bit on my end. After all, I am a human being and I have plenty of things to share....I think :) It will take some brain power since my brain is in mommy mode most of the time. It makes non-mommy talk pretty difficult sometimes. I always fall back to this comment that my husband made to me one time after I had the twins, "You used to be so sharp!" Great! Thank you honey. But, you know what? It is true. I used to be very sharp. You would have a hard time getting anything past me. Now? Things fly right over my head multiple times a day without so much as a second glance from me. I wonder if this is simply due to a lack of practice or if something organic happens after a pregnancy and you become permanently slow..er?

I will still post about the kids. If I didn't, I would be shutting out the biggest part of who I am at this point in my life. I just want to be able to talk about other things as well. For instance; We have moved into a new neighborhood, Chadd is traveling A LOT lately, I am training for my very first Triathlon, I have a lot of friends, I have a lot of opinions, I love to read and I am a big fat flake! HA!

Here is to switching it up, mixing it up, flaking it up...you know just trying to have a little fun here!
