Last week, we met a few of our old friends at a park in Bloomington. It was a beautiful evening and the kids were pumped to play. While us mom's were talking, we noticed that most of the kids had gathered by the tire swing. I ran up to try and grab some of the excitement digitally. Grant was pushing the girls and they were all giggling in delight.
I told Grant to jump on and along with him came Bennett and Bria. If you look closely, you may just find them hiding in there :)
The were all listening to the ring leader who was telling them that he was about to push and to please hold on for your dear lives. He was totally content pushing and watching the girls squeal.
I have known most of these kids pretty much their entire lives. I am so grateful for the bond that I got to form with each of their mom's over the years. Our oldest kids are in Kindergarten, and despite different schools, city's, and schedules, we still manage to keep in touch and find time to include one another.
I was thinking about the tire swing and the stages that us women are at in our lives right now. I feel like this tire swing is a metaphor for the bond that we share as mothers. No matter what each of us has going on individually, we are all somehow on that swing together having the ride of our lives. Thank you to my wonderful Mom's group and ECFE friends who have been along with me on this ride. You have made the trip so much more worthwhile and I love each and every one of you :)

Great, great shots, Amber! This was such a fun outing and I love that the kids played so well together. Let's do it again soon!
