Summer Loving

The weather has been pretty great lately.  The kids just love the water.  We try to make it to the gym everyday to swim in the outdoor pool which is one of many fabulous perks of belonging to Lifetime Fitness...free pool!  Woot Woot!  When we are not at the pool, we are blowing up slip'n'slides, splashing in our kiddie pool, running through the wacky wild sprinkler or multiple versions of all of those things.  There is one thing however, which has topped the list for the kids lately: our neighbor's Bonzai super water slide bouncer.

Our neighbors were lent this slide for the summer and rarely a day goes by that they do not set it up and call for my kids to come over and join in the wet and wild fun.  It is hilarious to watch the little toddlers scale this slide like little pro's to get to the top and bomb down the slide into the pool below.  It is a really neat slide that I am fortunate enough to be able to have my kids use thanks to the kindness of our neighbors.

There is also a little opening on the backside of the slide where you can slide into the pool as well.  The kids somehow manage to work together and so far there has not been any major accidents or collisions.  Knock on wood!

The other thing that our neighbors like to set up is a jerry-rigged slip'n'slide.  As everyone who owns or has owned a slip'n'slide knows, the things do not last all that long.  They either get popped, ripped, or simply so nasty from being folded and refolded and molded and super molded that you have to get rid of them.  Their son Chase came up with a great idea...use the tarp for the tent along with a sprinkler and tada you have a home made slip'n'slide.

The kids have a blast using this as well and on days where we need a break from the pool we are always up for slip'n'tarp action.

I hope that you all are having as much fun in the sun as we are.  It is sad that summer is almost over :sigh: but we are going to be living it up and summer loving as long as we possibly can.
