The Sniffy Face

Avery used to always make this face as a baby. She did it from the time she could make expressions and it got such laughs from us that she learned that doing it would cause us all to giggle. She soon perfected the "sniffy" face. When prompted, "Avery, do the sniffy face." She would immediately sniff in and scrunch up her face. This was her at 11 months riding her car around our living room.

Fast forward 3 1/2 years and we come to today. The kids were all making silly faces for the camera and Avery said, "Mom, do you remember the sniffy face?" Again, she promptly sniffed in and scrunched up her face like so. Only this time, it wasn't me requesting it. It amazes me how these little minds work and remember things like the "sniffy" face. These are the times when being a parent feels like a blessing in every sense of the word. I adore and cherish these moments as they can take the funk out of a bad day or brighten your spirit just when you needed it the most.
